Flying out west today and really looking forward to catching-up with all at our 40th.  Many thanks again to the reunion committee for your diligent efforts in organizing this gathering and enabling us to stay connected with one another.  Looks like we'll be having a typical late summer "East Coast" type high temp day at the reunion; but hopefully, minus the East Coast humidity!!

Can't wait to see so many of you.  Life is still excellent in my neck of the woods (Cheney, WA). My husband is mostly retired, I am not-my work keeps me busy zipping around the states and meeting so many great people.  I work with the nicest crew.
My son married a wonderful young lady 2 years ago and they just bought their first home- he brews beer and she teaches at MSU in Bozeman.  Happy!
My memories are fading and they start blending together when you;ve lived away for so many years, but I still remember the important stuff.

Thanks to all the reunion team for all the hard work.  I appreciate all you do!

It's hard to believe that we graduated 40 years ago.  Boy has time flown by.  The last few years have been a whirlwind.  I am still married to my wonderful husband David and my two daughters are grown and moving toward new adventures.  My oldest, Taylor, just got married on July 2nd, 2017 and my youngest, Olivia, just graduated from UW Tacoma with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Education. As for me, I sold my business in 2015 and got my real estate license.  I am thoroughly enjoying life as a realtor as it allows me to work plus continue to hike or do other outdoor activies.   Most of all I am looking forward to preparing for my retirement.  I hope to join my dear friends and classmates Carrie (Morris) Burchard, Brooke (Norton) Upton, Raema (Tellez) Hickey, and Maggie (Vlaming) Hayden in some fun adventures traveling, RVing and whatever else life brings our way. Looking forward to seeing you all at our 40th Reunion.  Class of '77 still rocks!

A lot has happened in the last ten years.  I received my PhD in Leadership and Change - I like the idea of Dr. Joye!  I retired from The Boeing Company after 27 years.  I was successful in implementing a Leadership Program for all of IT as well as putting in place numerous programs for organizations, processes, products and operational management/performance.  I was ready for a new chapter in my life.  Unfortunately, I was derailed for a little while.  I was diagnosed with colon cancer.  The Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, Fred Hutch and UW Physicians Network were so awesome and I can say that I am cancer free now!!!  That experience really made me look at my life and what I wanted to do.  My husband Rob was such a great support - he also retired from Tacoma Police Department and we moved to Tennessee.  Our daughter had moved to Florida where she is a Senior Financial Analyst for Disney and our son moved to Tennesee where he is a Versalist Supervisor for Nissan.  He is married with two beautiful children (I'm not biased at all).  Rob and I wanted to be closer to our family.  We bought a beautiful home with 10.5 acres, a pool, volleyball court, playground, soccer field, basketball court and plenty of room for having fun.  We have had plenty of friends and family come down to see us as well as visit and relax.  We are truly blessed and love being retired.  We play golf, bowl and travel a lot. We've been on many cruises to Alaska, Hawaii and Australia.  We have taken trips all around the US and we are going to Athens, Israel and Italy this year.  We joined a travel club, World Ventures, that enables us to have premium experiences at reduced prices all over the world.  I hope you all have a great time at the reunion.  40 years sure seems like a long time yet I still have great memories that seem like yesterday.  Take care all and come see us in Tennessee if you are in the area!!

I'm so sorry to let everyone know that my younger brother, Roy Mezias, class of 1977 died unexpectedly of a heart attack last week at home while working to protect the USA over in England. I hope it is ok to post his memorial folder here. He will have a military service in the morning just north of England and a Buddhist ceremony in the afternoon. I was class of 76 and wish you all the best of health.  The below information will be posted in the News Tribune once the military and UK govt release a death certificate.  I don't know how to post a photo of him in this message. Roy Anthony Mezias, was born August 23, 1959 to parents Casmer and Lisa (Ayako) Mezias, both preceding Roy in death. Roy died unexpectedly at his home in Peterborough, Britain on May 1, 2017. Roy grew up in a family rich with military service and moving around. In 1977 Roy graduated from Lakes High School in Lakewood, WA. He entered the USAF, retired after 20 years and then continued to protect our country both here and abroad in roles of national security. He is survived by his wife Anna, sons Mikhael and Nikolas Mezias, daughters Jeannette Faignard and Julia Haas, brothers Joseph, Michael and Casmer Jr., sisters Akiko Mimura and Rosy Newlun, five grandchildren, many nephews, nieces, more family and countless friends. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 12, 2017 at the NATO NIFC auditorium in Molesworth, UK and later the same day at 2:30 pm at the RAF Chapel in Alconberry UK. Condolences may be sent to Mezias Family, PSC 46 Box 361, APO, AE 09469. Cremation followed by scattering of ashes at sea in England. With our aloha, Rosy Mezias - Newlun and family

Hi Lancers (and Pirates!) Looking forward to the 40th. I inherited my parents home in Steilacoom so didn't make it far. I share it with a cat and an occasional sleepover with a grandchild.  Have worked at St Clare and St Joe's for the last 34 years. Geez....as I type this I realize how boring my life is. Excited to reconnect with old friends. Keep me posted!

Hey Everybody! What a weekend, huh?!! Just wanted to pass along the message that if you go to the "order photos" section of this website, you can order a CD slide show of "at least 250 photos of the entire reunion event" for $35! The photographer says he was there "from start to finish," even the after-party! Sounds like a great way to relive a wild weekend! My best to all of you!

What a fun website. I salute the web masters and web servants for there many hours of work! It has been a winding road from our twentieth reunion to our 30th. The only continuity is that we still live in the Washington, DC area. While most of you were busy sending your children to college or becoming grandparents, I gave birth to our daughter McKenzie in September 2001. My dear husband of 22 years, Ben, has been deployed at least seven months out of each year since 9/11, so leaving the Feds to become a stay-at-home mom seemed like the best decision. It has been a truly unparalleled adventure. Looking forward to seeing you in August! Namaste

Triente anos! Chuleta! Where does the time go? Briefly, got BA degree from WSU, but haven't really used it. Was an actor for about 13 years, but had to support that working for the federal government, have been with Social Security for way too many years! Own a residence in the North End of Tacoma (the poorer side!) Married in 1990, daughter born in 1991. She attends Tacoma School of the Arts. Have two stepdaughters, 19 and 22. Latter is studying to be a pharmacist; former still trying to figure out what she wants. Spouse is a UW graduate, but that's okay and with the Feds as well. Like Diane Stockbridge, I too have a black belt (taekwondo). Got dual citizenship in Panama, which is like my 2nd home. Health is okay except for the torn rotator cuff and achilles tendon, which are still mending.

Let's see, since the last reunion I have gone to about every sporting event possible in middle school and high school. My son loved to participate. I still work in dentistry,, but also started my own consulting business. My husband and I started selling our beef locally rather than at market (naturally raised), so I don't sit still for very long at a time. Many of you knew my mom and she passed away in 2000-my dad died right after our 10th, so I've been an orphan for the past 6 years. But my siblings are still alive and kicking! Makes you realize how important every day is with your loved ones- ok enough of the sappy stuff. Who's ready to have a blast? I think we need to get a little wild and crazy-who's with me. See you soon.

I can't have been 30 years! I know I don't feel that old! Living in Las Vegas for the last 19 years. Two kids and two step kids. Mine are in Hollywood and Lakewood. My other two are in Vegas, but in college. Three years ago, I married the best woman I've ever met. Even though we've only known each other for about five years, it's like we've know each other for our whole lives. No longer a stock broker, now I'm the Risk Manager for McCarran International Airport (fifth busiest in the country - busiest in the world between 9 pm and 12 am!). Still hiking and camping as often as we can! Hope to see lots of you in August!

Hey all, I'm not lost, just living a fabulous life with my husband of 25 years! Kids were not in our picture so we do the best we can by spoiling each other. Can't believe I was so lucky to find the love of my life. Sean's a 3rd grade teacher and I have worked for 20 years at the University of Puget Sound. We have a home in Puyallup. No one will be surprised that I won't be at the reunion. Instead we will be in Orlando -- Yes, I know it will be hot, hot, hot...but, I'll still have fun, fun, fun. If any of you find a way to slow time down -- fill us in, will you? I'll be watching the postings. I think of so many of you often. Wishing you all the best. Enjoy the reunion!

Greetings to everyone! It's been a whirlwind ten years! I recieved my second degree black belt - not bad for a 48 year old grandma! My oldest daughter graduated her Masters Degree in Civil Engineering (did not get my math brain). She got a great job re-storing salmon habitats and doing good for the environment at Geo Engineers. My youngest is working to be a head Chef - go girls! I am recently a grandma of a beautiful 15 month old grandson. It's much funner than I thought. I didn't want to be a grandma and suggested I be called "Auntie Diane." That didn't go over so well, but grandma is good now that I'm used to it. My mom and dad still live on Lundstrom Dr. and are happily retired. My sister Karen is an RN and happily married to a dentist. They live in Bellevue with their four wonderful children. Karen's ten year old daughter has taken after horses like mom, entering and winning lots of big name horse shows in the area. My husband and I still own a business - we've migrated into software development. We now support software for over eighty government/State businesses. Keeps me stressed out but busy. Hope this finds all you well and anxious to get together - I'm looking forward to touching bases with everyone again. Best regards, Diane Mortzheim (Stockbridge)

30 years already. We are so old! I have enjoyed reading everyone's updates. I'm not sure I will make the reunion but it sounds like a good time. I have lived in Minnesota for 16 years and love it! Bruce and I have been married for 25 years and our three sons are in various stages of grad school and college. I am an RN at the Mayo Clinic and my husband works there too in Preventative Cardiology, he also does research (he took his lab to the South Pole last year). Since the 20th, much has changed... and much remains the same. I am no longer married. I am a single dad raising my 12 year old son. I am no longer on TV. After nearly 19 years, Q-13 (FOX affiliate - Seattle) and I parted ways. I am now General Sales Manager for a local cable advertising company. I am still living in Lakewood. My son will be attending Lakes in 3 more years. And I am blessed, and very happy to say that my parents are both doing well, and still living in there same house on Lake Steilacoom.
